Turnaround
You must order your costume at least two months in advance. The earlier you order, the better. You will provide a deadline for us, in which we will ship before or on that date. If you need your costume for a convention, you should give a deadline of at least 1-2 weeks before it.
Shipping
Shipping prices are dependent on weight and your location.
Return Policy
The majority of what we sell is made to order. They are custom products made with your specifications. Thus, we cannot accept returns. However, if there is a fitting error, we will most likely fix it for free.
Competitions
You cannot enter a costume you have commissioned from us in a craftsmanship competition. Besides, most conventions have rules against that sort of thing anyway.
Paying in Installments
If your order is more than $300, you have the option of making payments in installments. If you choose to do this, there is a payment schedule. Initially, 25% of the full cost is due. Halfway between the date you order the costume and the date that it is due, 50% of the full cost is due. One month before the deadline, 100% of the full cost is due.
If your payment is late, it will delay the delivery of the costume. If payments stop completely, construction on the costume will stop, and you will not be refunded the money you already sent.
If you postpone the payments as well as the deadline of your costume, you will be subjected to our availability. For example, you set a due date for January, but decide to stop making payments. You then make payments at a later date and move your due date back. Say this due date is now in April, but we are completley booked during this month. We then cannot guarantee this comission will meet this new due date. However, we will complete the order as soon as we have an opening. If this occurs. we will notify you as soon as possible.
Say you make payments, postpone the rest and then push back the order's deadline, but then decide you only want parts of the order (which the previous payments cover). The above policy also applies in this situation.
Measurements
Please remember that sending in your measurements is just as important as sending in payments. A delay in sending measurements means a delay in receiving your costume.
Commission requests
We reserve the right to refuse any commission we feel uncomfortable with. After we submit a quote to a customer, if we later find we feel the customer is being uncooperative or difficult, we have the right to refuse the commission.
Accuracy
While it is okay to specify what you want (i.e. no satin or no metal buttons), it is unnecessary to point out details in a reference picture you have sent. That is our job, and we strive to be as accurate as possible.
Quotes
If you do not send us enough reference pictures, we reserve the right to use artistic license. We will work with the reference pictures you initially send us with the quote. For example, if a customer sends reference pictures of the front of the costume only, we reserve the right to use artistic liscense for the back. However, if the customer suddenly springs up reference pictures of the back of the costume after the quote is made, the quote is subject to change.
If you do not include the measurements needed for your costume, quotes are subject to change.
It will take 3-4 business days or less for us to process a quote that is e-mailed to us. If a quote comes in on a weekend, it will not get processed until Monday. Any quote that comes in after 5PM CST will not get processed until the business next day. Please keep in mind that if you post a request for a quote through our Cosplay.com Marketplace ad, it may take a bit longer for us to respond to it.
Agreement
If you accept a quote, it means you have read and understand both our policy and FAQ.
