Debut: Reactor 2007

Notes: My boyfriend started reading Death Note, then got me into it. I liked Misa's clothes, as well as her relationship with Light. This particular drawing of Misa was actually one of the last ones on my list, simply because of the boots- which usually cost between $60-80 online. The convention I was making this for fell in October, which meant I had Halloween superstores at my disposal. On a completely random trip to my nearest Halloween store, I discovered that they sold the EXACT boots that were needed for the Misa costume, FOR ONLY $30! (For the love of God, kids, take advantage of these stores.)

The rest of the Misa costume followed shortly after. I made every article of clothing here except for the black tank top. Not a closet cosplay! The jacket was made from pinstripe denim, and all accessories were also made by me. I handpainted the buttons on the lapel- I even made a special button that featured Rem's face!
